Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig November 21, 1983) is an American actress, best well-known for her role as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television show Lost as well as Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace is originally from Worthington from Ohio left high school in order to move into Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. Her first role came to her, as Rachel's Room's main character in 2001, despite having a difficult time in the financial department. The television film Murder in Greenwich where she portrayed 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004, and was awarded with her a Screen Actors Guild Award (with all the other actors) along with her. The show ended in 2005 and Grace would like to be on film more frequently, having played opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. She starred as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken the year 2008) in Suburban Girl and The Jane Austen Book Club. She reprised her role in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern version from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to the Lost series for the last two episodes as Shannon. Grace appeared in Californication's 6th season that aired between 2013 and 2014. She portrays Faith who's both a star-gazer and the girl in the group. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. Gyllenhaal is a part of the family and is the elder cousin of Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was a teenager with small roles in several films from her father. In addition, she was a part of her brother in 2001's famous film Donnie Darko. Later, she was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal was nominated for the Golden Globe Award in both the romantic comedy Sherrybaby (2005) and in the love story Secretary (2002). Both films were critically acclaimed. Her fame grew for her role as Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) as well as a number of successful commercial films she starred in the year 2006. She was nominated in the Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role as Rachel Dawes in Crazy Heart, (2009). She subsequently starred in the comedies and dramas: Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Won't Back Down (2012). Alongside her work as a Secret Service agent, she also appeared on screen in White House Down (2013) as well as Frank (2014). Her most recent roles include her character as the primary protagonist in The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal began her career as a screenwriter and director in 2021 when she directed and wrote her psychological horror film The Lost Daughter. The film was awarded Best Screenplay at the Venice International Film Festival, and it was nominated by the Academy Award.
